Updates on life and moving away from Goa

By | 16th April 2017

So the past few weeks have been quite hectic for me. I managed to get my Mikrotik MTCNA cert, had a nice vacation in Delhi and my friend’s place at Rohtak, took up a new job in the national capital and am typing this from there. 😉

My MTCNA certificate

The MTCNA certification was quite fun and in the course there were a lot of people with hands on experience with managing small and large eyeball networks alike, including people working on DWDM and SDH equipment. I managed to score 100% in all topics other than PPP/tunnels and wireless, ending up with the joint highest score in the group.

I have taken up a job at E2E Networks Pvt. Ltd. from 5th April 2017. E2E is a leading cloud and dedicated server provider in India which hosts leading Indian websites like Jabong, Team-BHP, Car Dekho, Tolexo, Healthkart, 91Mobiles, Zoomcar etc. I will be working in the Product Development team as an intern out of the Nehru Place office, but would be making occasional visits to the Netmagic datacenter in Noida, where we host our servers.

My residence in Faridabad

I have also shifted my residence to Faridabad, Haryana. The place is 2-3 kms by car from the sector 28 metro station, which is 20-25 mins from the Nehru Place office. Things are still a mess and I have to get a few things in order. Work is fun and challenging. I get very little time for other things on weekdays but it is good that it keeps me busy. I have never lived away from my parents or from Goa and the climate is very very different and hopefully I can adjust with time.

The good part is that internet is decent. There is 50 Mbps over FTTC/B available from IAXN and Airtel has a decent 16 Mbps plan over ADSL(to be upgraded soon to VDSL, ie; “V-Fiber“).

Time to return to work. Hopefully I can update this space more frequently. 🙂
